Luxury African Fragrance Brand Talata Debuts New Signature Collection

    by melange June 25, 2025

On Friday evening, just as the sun set, something special unfolded at the Accra International Conference Centre. Ghana’s luxury fragrance house, Talata, introduced a new chapter in its journey: the launch of its four Signature Scents.

The air in the room was filled with rich, layered scents that goes beyond anything you have ever inhaled. It wasn’t just a launch it was a sensory experience that awakened nostalgia, curiosity and memories in one single breath.

The launch drew in some of Ghana’s most respected names from the creative space. Bola Ray, KOD, Sika Osei, Lydia Forson, Michelle Mckinney Hammond, Ama Burland, Gisela Amponsah, Ivy Prosper, Makeba Boateng and many more were all in attendance to celebrate this milestone with Talata and to find the fragrance that spoke to them most.

Talata’s four new scents were made using ingredients sourced from across Africa, each one carefully blended to tell a unique story:

    Be Mine

A warm mix of Madagascar vanilla and West African shea.

    Be Suave

Ghanaian dark chocolate blended with North African velvet oud.

    Be Zen

Kenyan tea and Somali benzoin, crafted for moment of clarity, rest and breath.

    Be More

Madagascar vetiver with smoky woods of southern Africa put together to give unapologetic expression.

Guests were drawn to the fragrances—not just because of how they smelled, but because of how they made them feel. Each scent offered something memorable and personal.

Founder Miss Talata Maldima-Provencal shared the purpose behind the brand during the event. She explained that Talata is
built on the idea of taking elements from Africa, refining them with intention, and placing them on the global stage. “We want the world to experience the beauty of Africa through scent,” she said. “That is why we have sourced materials from
different part of the continent refined them to make the beautiful scents of Talata.”
