In a royal and regal fashion event held at the Tang Palace Garden on Friday 15th July, 2022, Vlisco Ghana unveiled Lucy Quist as its new Ambassador.
Mrs Lucy Quist becomes the seventh Brand Ambassador for Vlisco Ghana, taking over the reign of Yawa Hansen-Quao, a social entrepreneur and female leadership advocate.
She is a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, serving as the Global Head of Firm Resilience. In 2014, she joined AirtelTigo as the company’s CEO, making her the first Ghanaian female CEO to head a major multinational telecom company. She is a staunch STEM Advocate and author of the Book The Bold New Normal.
In her speech after her unveiling, Mrs. Quist expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to stand to represent and continue the amazing works of her predecessors. She believes that women make a huge impact spanning across many generations.
Managing Director of Vlisco, Fatoumata Doro in her address shared her excitement to be surrounded by amazing and inspiring women. She expressed her confidence in the new Queen, calling on her to support the Vlisco brand to do the things it envisions.

In attendance were former Ambassadors such as Dr Ellen Hagan 2013, Eugenia Tachie-Menson 2014, Elizabeth Akua-Nyarko Patterson 2015, Regina Honu 2016, and Edith Uyoybukheri 2018, who took a trip down memory lane on how their journey has been so far.
The Vlisco Ambassador was established to honour exceptional women in their achievements. They also have the gift of motivating others to realize their dreams. The ambassadors play an important role during Vlisco’s Women’s Month and in various brand activities throughout the year.
The event was hosted by Chrystal Aryee with a performance from Ghanaian nascent and sassy songstress Titi Owusu.
