Ghana’s music biggest weekend, Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, was held over the weekend at the Grand Arena (Conference Centre). The two-day annual event aimed to recognise and reward talents, promote Ghanaian music, and provide entertainment to music enthusiasts.
The two nights saw stellar performances from top-notch musicians like Kofi Kinaata, wendy shay, Celestine Donkor, Perezmusik, lyrical Joe, Samini, Amerado, Kidi, Gyakie, Black Sherif, Cina Soul, Akwaboah Jnr., Ohemaa Mercy, Camidoh, D Black, Sefa, and others
The first day of the awards ceremony, which was described as the industry night, was hosted by the Citi Fm’s Brunch In the Citi host, AJ Sarpong, and the multiple VGMA award-winning rapper Edem. The red carpet was hosted by the cheerful Giovani Caleb and the ever-bubbly Chrystal Aryee, all of TV3 and 3 Fm.
The second-day red carpet was hosted by the GH One’s Serwaa Amihere and the celebrated actor James Gardiner. The main event was hosted by the media maven Berla Mundi and co-hosted by Giovani Caleb and beautiful Sika Osei.
The award ceremony also represented all the pomp and pageantry from Ghana’s fashion world. The night saw celebrities defining their styles from elegant gowns to perfectly fitting tuxedos, depicting the creativity of Ghana’s fashion designers, hairstylists, makeup artists, and stylists and, ultimately, the fashion industry’s growth over the years.
