The Honeypot Spa Opens in Accra

by Editor

Accra’s first organic treatments spa is here.

The Honeypot Spa soft-opened on September 3, 2022, and held its grand opening on September 11, 2022. According to its founder, all products used in the spa are locally sourced. With highly trained beauty therapists, who take service very seriously with care and respect, the spa eases you into a world of ‘just you’ to enhance your experience.

Offering a variety of services such as massages, sugar waxing(safer than regular waxing), body scrubs, facials, pedicures, manicures, pre/postnatal massages, bridal shower packages, and my personal favourite, vajacials. Yes, vajacials!  Simply put, vajacials are facials for the vagina. And if you thought cleaning the portion between your legs ended with just shaving, then you thought wrong.

Remember, it’s skin down there and prone to all sorts, even acne. It really is all about self-care. I bet you did not know ‘honeypot is a slang for the vagina? Well, now you know.

The brand is inspired by Edith Akati, the founder of Honeypot Spa, who currently works as the Global Head of E-Commerce for mPharma. Speaking at the grand opening, Edith gave an account of how growing up, she had issues with her skin. Even her younger sister battled some skin problems and, after experimenting with different solutions, finally found what worked for them. She spoke about wanting to share that solution with the rest of the world. Thus, the birthing of the vision for the spa. She mentioned that the spa is female-focused, though some services are available to men, like manicures, pedicures, and massages.

Ladies, you don’t feel too comfortable wearing bikinis as a result of ingrown hairs around the vagina or bum? The Honeypot Spa is here for you. When you think of beauty and personal care, Honeypot Spa is your affordable relaxation sanctuary.

Operating by appointment only, the Honeypot Spa is located at East Legon, Accra. Contact thehoneypotspa@gmail.com or 0557177052 to book an appointment.
