Style Lounge Weekend Returns with a Focus on Africa’s Fashion Future

by Editor

The Style Lounge platform is an initiative by Debonair Afrik to put the spotlight on young fashion brands and businesses to help build and promote them.

The comeback of The Style Lounge Weekend after the pandemic was exciting, educative, and colorful. This edition of The Style Lounge Weekend was themed ‘Africa’s Fashion Future.’ It was filled with fun activities for fashion enthusiasts, business seminars, and a fashion runway show, which was the weekend’s highlight.

The organizers featured speakers like coach Ngozi Dickson from career hub Gh, Yéga from Yéga illustration & Fashion illustration Africa, Mr. Henry Boye from Ecobank Gh, and Coy Griffin from CIAFE for the weekend’s business seminars.

The two-day runway show showcased 13 designers’ collections. The first day saw designers like Zakiya Mahama, Crystal Pary, Mateko, Subwae, Simisa, and Alwoman. The second day also saw designers like February by Serwaah, Nipo Skin, Kels, Jubylee, Kojo Boadi, Sena Bryte, Metakay, August Studio, and others.

The style lounge weekend was sponsored by Debonair Afrik, Ecobank, CIAFE, Careerhub Gh, Alexiglam Studios, and Fashion illustration Africa. Here are a few photos from the Style Lounge Weekend event.
