Trends come and go, and style evolves. It is important to have fashionable statement pieces that are timeless despite the fashion industry’s ever-changing trends, and that’s what Kejetia Boys Inc. served the audience at the just ended Kumasi Fashion Week.
Kejetia Boys Inc collection., birthed on the significance of Kumasi’s bustling Kejetia market and the numerous opportunities the trading place affords people like him who frequent it for raw materials and accessories.
Kejetia boys SS22 collection can be described as the coolest fit vibe for the young and young at heart. The pieces transcended the traditional template of unveiling fashion new products on the runway. Each look was a work of art carrying a message of creativity and an in-depth backstory.

The collection is a playful, colourful and fashion-forward staple for any fashion fanatic to keep as a wardrobe mainstay. This jacket, for instance, has the demography of the Kejetia – Kumasi’s central business district imprinted across its length and breadth.
In my interview with the creative director, Kojo Kusi for Melange Africa, he revealed the collection was inspired by the normal boy on the street of Kejetia and his interpretation of fashion.
“The Kejetia boy doesn’t believe fashion only happens at weddings and parties. It happens on the streets too. And for me, this project is our perspective of fashion in Ghana”
Kojo Kusi, creative director for Studio Kojo Kusi
He told us to expect more looks from the Kejetia Boys collection in the coming seasons and works from his thriving studio. Here are some more photos from Kejetia Boys Inc.’s Spring/Summer 22′ collection showing at the recently held Kumasi Fashion Week.
