Africa Fashion International (AFI), with flagship initiatives like the annual Cape Town Fashion Week (CTFW), has always been at the forefront of promoting African designers and this year was no exception.
This year’s Cape Town fashion week took place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 21st March–25th March 2023 which was themed “Fashion, Art, and Design”. The show featured designers from multiple regions on the African continent, including Ghana’s upcycling brand ‘Chip O’neal’, taking the AFI CTFW runway on Thursday, 21st March 2023.
Chip O’nea, owned by David Neal Dodoo, is known for its contemporary and culturally diverse haute ready-to-wear pieces. The brand is committed to sustainability, integrating upcycling concepts into everything from its design processes to materials and fabrics. It has been patronized by various Ghanaian celebrities and influencers including Ekow Barnes, King Promise, and Nana Ama McBrown.
