LYVV Cosmetics is a sustainable beauty brand launched in Dakar in 2015 and later the headquarters was moved to Accra in 2017. It manufactures organic beauty products for women of colour, from makeup to natural skincare products. The cosmetic brand sources its ingredients from local farms in West Africa.
To enable women of colour to embrace their beauty, the brand aims to provide high-quality items. Most of Lyvv Cosmetics’ customers are based in Africa and the African diaspora community. The brand is distributed via retailers in Senegal, Ghana, Canada, the US, and France. Its website also offers international shipping.
The brand is owned by Senegalese entrepreneur, Victorine Sarr Awuah who has been in the business world for +8 years, gaining experiences from companies like L’Oréal and Apple.
After weeks of teasing its customers on Instagram, it finally announced the media maven Berla Mundi as its new brand ambassador in an Ad campaign posted on October 25, 2023, on Instagram.
