In the spotlight at the Qatar 2022 World Cup, Morgan Freeman and BTS Jungkook stole the show with their incredible vocal abilities.
Veteran actor Morgan Freeman alongside A member of the South Korean K-pop group Beyond the Scene (BTS), popularly known as the Bulletproof Boy Scouts or Bangtan Sonyeondan, Jung Kook.
The ceremony began with a video of desert and ocean waves, and Morgan Freeman’s commanding voice chanted on stage, “From this place, we heard a call to the world to connect, to return, if only for a moment, to that which might bring us together.”

In his appearance, Freeman says, “So, we assemble here as one large tribe, and Earth is the tent we dwell in,” on November 20 as the spectacular opening ceremony set the stage for the first game between host nation Qatar and Ecuador at the Al Bayt Stadium.

Aside from Freeman, another famous person who attended the hour-long ceremony was BTS Jungkook, who performed his new song, Dreamers in front of almost 60,000 fans. Jung Kook became the first Korean performer to take the stage live during the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony. His performance, accompanied by dancers, has set the bar high for performers at future World Cup opening ceremonies.
